C. & P. S.

There are a lot of American school children who are highly intersted in the health and well-being of Indonesian children. They are also very curious about life in general. They have been writing us emails, asking various questions. We thought we would respond to these short memos on our blog.

Our first response is to Brady Perry:

Brady, we are currently living in the city of Bandung on the island of Java. It is much cooler here than on the island of Sumatra, where we will be moving to in about 5 months after we finish language school.

The Weather: The season is changing right now. We are moving into the hot season. There are only two seasons in Indonesia: 1) rainy season; 2) hot season.  It is interesting here in the city of Bandung, because I heard locusts right at the time when the season began to change. That is what you hear in the northern part of the US when the seasons begin to change from summer to fall.

About snakes: we have only seen one snake so far, and it was dead, having been run over by a car on the road.

Thanks for the questions Brady!
