This is a follow up on our previous post titled “Matchmaker.”

We wanted to let everybody know that when an American marries an Indonesian, you don’t merely marry one person, you marry the entire family (extended family too). Translated, that means what is yours is theirs, and what is theirs is yours. That isn’t literal, but it does mean that if you have resources you have an obligation to your family. It’s quite different in the US.

We thought that would be helpful information before you take your next step towards coming to Indonesia to meet one of these pretty young ladies and their family.
