Indonesian Currency

The paper currency of Indonesia is in rupiah, and it comes in denominations of 1,000;  2,000;  5,000;  10,000;  20,000;  50,000 and  100,000 bills (there are also an assortment of coins).

On the front side of the 2,000 rupiah banknote can be seen a picture Prince Antasari (1862), one of the leaders from the Banjar ethnic group on the island of Kalimantan (Borneo).  He was influential in the resistance against Dutch colonialism in South Kalimantan.

On the back of the 2,000 rupiah banknote can be seen dancers from the Dayak ethnic group, also from the Island of Kalimantan.
