The Tomb

(Update on this tomb was posted on August 4, 2014. Go to that update with this link.)

Information about Pangeran (prince) Wiro Kusumo can be obtained from our two previous posts. One post gave information about his life, background, etc., and the other about his home. These posts can be read by clicking the two below links:

  1. His life and exploits.
  2. His home.

Pangeran Wiro Kusumo (Said Indrus) was buried close to where he lived, within the complex of the mosque Jami Al-Ikhsaniyah.

The sign attached to the small building wherein his tomb is located indicates he passed away in 1902. Historical documents, as annotated in Sumatran Sultanate and Colonial State: Jambi and the Rise of Dutch Imperialism, 1830-1907, indicate he passed away in 1905.

The exact location of his grave can be found by clicking this link.

Below is a video we made of his grave, and the mosque Jami Al-Ikhsaniyah.
