Semagi Water Boom Prakasa

(In Muara Bungo)Sign

Seven kilometers to the south of Muara Bungo (at this location) is a new water park that was opened August 20, 2011. This is quite possibly the largest and nicest water park on the southern part of the Island of Sumatra. The park is owned by a former Muara Bungo Bupati–Zulfikar Ahmad. That man also owns the Semagi Hotel, as well as several other businesses.

PoolSeeing the large sign on the road outside the City of Muara Bungo, we decided to take a detour and see what the park was really like. We were astounded to see such a nice facility so far away from a large population center. Aldi, the marketing director of the park, gave us a grand tour and gave us all the information in this article. While there we also made the below video.
