Fourteen kilometers to the south of the City of Jambi, starting from the intersection known as Simpang Abadi, is a personally owned crocodile farm that is specifically used for harvesting crocodile skins.

The manager of the farm is Pak (Mr.) Jaeman. Along with his family, he has been living at the farm overseeing the crocodile breeding and harvesting for 25 years. Pak Jaeman informed us that he obtained his knowledge of crocodiles in Medan, before he moved to Jambi.

The crocodiles are fed snakes, chickens, and other similar types of food. When harvested, the crocodile meat is fed back to the other 50+- crocodiles that are being raised on the farm.

When the crocodiles reach a length of 3 meters (approx. 10 feet) they are ready to be harvested, though we did see a few monsters in there that were much longer than 3 meters.

This crocodile farm is located outside the Village of Kebun IX, in the Sungai Gelam Kecematan, in the Muaro Jambi Kabupaten.

Below is a video we made of this farm.
