Wherever crowds gather, and at the busiest of intersections in most large cities of Indonesia, you will find monkey handlers that will lead their monkeys in performing various entertaining acts while vehicles are waiting for the green light. Immediately prior to the green light, these people will walk between the traffic collecting a few coins for their performance.



One of the styles of music in Indonesia is Keroncong, or, Kroncong. It is believed that this style of music was adopted from the Portuguese around the 16oos.
